A 4th generation Victorian himself, Phil Smith began working in the roofing industry over 25 years ago. He has gained first hand experience and knowledge in all aspects of roofing but most importantly he knows a quality install every step of the way, because he's done it thousands of times himself. His knowledge has been gathered by "doing". From meticulous clean up to product knowledge and everything in between. This is the simple basis of his business model which is simply "Good service, Good product, Good price".
In 1996 Phil opened Phil Smith Roofing. Not a catchy, marketable name, but his own name because of the fact he had built up an early reputation for his quality workmanship in the industry. His wife remembers many calls looking for "Phil the Roofer" just with a single listing by name in the white pages. The rest is history as they say and he now employs several full time crews and has built up a strong reputation in Victoria.
